Privacy Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
Song to Scripture is a free Bible app made by Joshua Danson and his family in Crawfordville, Florida. This policy covers the app and this website. The short version: you do not need an account, we show no ads, we do not track you, and we never sell anyone's information.
What stays on your phone
Your journal entries, the Bible translation you choose, and passages saved for faster reading are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
What the app sends
- Bible passages. Some translations are licensed from their publishers. When you read one of those, the app asks our server for that passage, and our server gets it from API.Bible. Like any internet request, this includes technical details such as your IP address and app version, which our hosting providers may log briefly for security and reliability. We do not use these details to identify you or for advertising.
- Usage counts the publishers require. When licensed Bible text is shown, the app reports anonymous counts to API.Bible so the publishers can see how often their translation is read. These reports do not include your name, email, journal, or anything you type.
The app does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location, and it has no advertising or analytics tools.
Music links
Song buttons open Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube. When you leave our app for one of those services, their privacy policies apply.
Children
Song to Scripture is for all ages, including children under 13. Because the app has no accounts and does not ask for personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe we have received information about your child, email us and we will delete it.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security.
If you email us, we use your address only to reply to you.
Changes
If the app adds new features, such as an optional supporter membership or tools for youth pastors, we will update this policy before those features go live and change the date at the top.
